- Facebook launches two New Tools to Improve Local Marketing. Their goal is to make it easier for businesses with multiple locations to create local ads for each store and also giving businesses more insight into the groups of people near their stores.
Facebook Introduces the Notify App – Notify is “a new app from Facebook that delivers timely notifications about the things that matter to you, from the sources you love, all in one place.”
Facebook Expands 360 Video: 360 videos on Facebook “can now be viewed on iOS devices, in addition to Android devices and the web.”
Facebook launches ‘fundraiser’ pages:”Fundraisers” are dedicated pages where nonprofits can raise money for specific campaigns.
- Google Launches New About Me Page: Google About Me is a new online tool that “allows you to change what information other users of Google services can see about you.”
Google is now offering podcasts on Google Play Music giving podcasters access to millions of new listeners on Android phones and tablets.
Instagram Introduces the Instagram Partner Program: The Instagram Partner Program makes it “easier for advertisers of any size to find the best-in-class technology partners they need to get great results on Instagram.”
Instagram Builds Curated Content Streams: Instagram created “a new video-only content feed curated by Instagram employees” around specific events.
- Periscope Announces New Features: two major updates to Periscope on iOS and Android: a revamped Global Map, and Skip Ahead on replays!
Periscope Comes to Apple TV. Periscope on your TV lets you instantly experience live broadcasts.
- Pinterest’s new visual search tool “lets you find all those things you don’t have the words to describe.”
Pinterest now lets you easily find Pins you saved for later. Recent Pins are right up top and you can browse your pins by topics. Once you have enough Pins, your profile will start showing you the topics you Pin about most.
Pinterest Rolls Out Buyable Pins on Android and Introduces the Pinterest Shop: Pinterest announced it will start rolling out buyable pins to U.S. Pinners on Android!
