New Year – new Check-In for Charity Deal!  We continue our Facebook and Foursquare Check-In for Charity campaign!  Each time we receive a check-in on Facebook or Foursquare we will donate $0.50 to the charity or non-profit of the month (capped at $50 per month).  Just by checking-in at Boot Camp Digital you will be supporting great local non-profit organization!

Last Month…

Talbert House was last month’s choice and today after counting all check-ins, we will send a donation to this great organization that helps our community to overcome adversity to become healthy and productive citizens.  A special thanks to everyone who checked-in at Boot Camp Digital in order to support Talbert House, we are very happy to send a contribution to this great non-profit.

This Month…

Today we are officially starting our January donation to Northern Kentucky Youth Foundation!   This inspiring organization was suggested by Justin Rains.  The Northern Kentucky Youth Foundation is a non-profit, community based, organization serving the children and families of Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties.  The mission of The Northern Kentucky Youth Foundation is to help youth between the ages of 12 and 18 develop their full potential through collaborative, social, educational and recreational programs.

We are so excited to dedicate this month to the NKY Youth Foundation!  Don’t forget to to check-in at Boot Camp Digital on Facebook or Foursquare to increase the donation to such an amazing cause!

  1. Hi!
I love how you are using social media not just to educate and connect, but also to support worthy causes. My question: How do you get to be considered as a “Charity of the Month”??
I work at Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Heath Services, the largest comprehensive provider of services for people with serious mental illnesses, mostly homeless and indigent. Our services include phychiatric and primary health care treatment, homeless teams to engage the homeless population with mental illnesses in order to steer them to services, vocational, housing and much more. We fly pretty under the radar in Cincinnat and need some help getting “known” in the community. I can provide you with much more info if you are interested.
Thanks for the opportunity, and Happy New Year!

  2. Hi Andrea,

Sorry for the delay. We have a schedule of the charities that we are supporting with our Check-In for Charity campaign through the rest of this year (here you can view a full list https://bootcampdigital.com/new-at-boot-camp-digital-check-in-for-charity/). All of these charities were chosen based on the recommendations of our friends and clients. We would be happy to include your nonprofit organization to our list as well! Please send me some information about your non-profit with the link to its website and I will schedule it for January 2013. My email: [email protected]

    Thanks,

    Mariya

  3. Hello,
I’ve been wanting to connect our organization with a specific cause, and am thinking this is the perfect way to do it. I’m assuming you would be pleased we would ‘copy’ your idea?? I have a different name for it in mind, But still your idea. One concern. I don’t really understand check-ins. I see the tally on our Facebook, and I see the reports, but they are completely anonymous to the check in site, yes? There is no way for us to connect with them directly? They don’t have to ‘like’ us? Is there anyway for us to interact with folks who check in? Also, we are currently moving and between sites at this time, not open at either place. Based on the numbers on our FB page, folks are still checking in. I don’t understand why they would do that? Am I missing something? I’m just trying to be realistic. While we believe in this cause, our budget is very limited. It may sound cold, I’m just trying to understand how this can benefit our organization. Perhaps good will is good enough…

  4. Hi Barbara,

Sorry for the delay. Yes, we would be very happy if you ‘copy’ our idea and use it for your business! 🙂 Creating a check-in for charity deal is a great way to associate your business with a good and inspiring cause. By creating such deals and promoting them through your social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Blog, etc.), you not only help raise money for the non-profits but also create awareness for your own business. So, the real benefit is to connect with your community and generate a lot of exposure for your organization.

Answering your other questions, no, there is no way to see who checked in and people don’t have to ‘like’ you in order to check in. I’m not sure why people are checking in when your business is not open…:)

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Mariya
