Facebook News Updates
- Facebook Launches Community Accelerator Grant – Those supporting communities on Facebook can apply for the grant to increase their impact and get access to training.
- Facebook Advises Businesses Ahead of IOS Update – Facebook issued a reminder of advice to businesses to prepare for the new update and the possible impact on ads.
- iOs14.5 Update is Here and Impacting Facebook – With the new Apple update, users have to opt-in to tracking on their phone, which will dramatically impact the way Facebook tracks and optimizes ad performance. Users will be prompted to turn tracking on. If you run ads on Facebook, check your ad account for recommendations to optimize for the new change. You may also need to re-establish your tracking.
- Facebook Continues to Grow Users and Revenue – While user growth is slowing, the network continues to grow users and revenue.
- Facebook Announces New Audio Suite – This includes soundbites, podcasts, audio rooms, and monetization.
- You Can Schedule STORIES – On Facebook and Instagram using Creator Studio. While not rolled out through the API yet (so your favorite scheduler likely won’t have it) you can do it directly in Facebook!!
- Facebook Adds New Photos Layouts – You can adjust and optimize the display when uploading multiple images.
LinkedIn News Updates
- Toolkit: LinkedIn Says B2B Isn’t Boring – LinkedIn launched a resource for businesses on how to optimize content for B2B and shed the label of “boring”. This resource has tons of great examples to challenge your creative thinking.
- LinkedIn Grows Engagements and Revenue – In their quarterly results, they showed a 25% increase in revenue and “Record Engagement” growth at 29%.
- LinkedIn Adds New Job Titles – Like Stay-at-Home Mom and sabbatical. This is a great way to proactively address any career gaps.
Twitter Updates
- Twitter Shows Strong Growth in Q1 – Daily active users on the platform is up 28% and revenue is also up significantly. Twitter is actually growing quickly.
- Twitter Launches Live Test of Professional Profiles – This is a test that they will roll out (no defined plan) where accounts will see the option to switch to a professional account. This presumably will give them more access, however, there aren’t many details yet.
TikTok News Updates
- TikTok Launches Tools to Help Small Businesses – If you’ve been thinking about TikTok but haven’t taken the plunge, now could be the time. TikTok is actively promoting small businesses this month with a special hashtag to grow visibility.
- TikTok Launches Lead Gen Ads – This allows businesses to collect user info directly in the ad unit and drive conversions of their customers.
Search News Updates
- Google Postponse Core Web Vitals Update to June – This major change will impact your search results, so make sure your site is optimized. The launch has been delayed until June, giving you more time to get your site up to speed.
- Google Adds Video Ad Testing – Since creative is the key factor in brand advertising success, Google has made it easier for brands to test ad video content with a new video A/B testing tool.

- Zoom Launches Immersive View – This is a COOL NEW update where you can take a group photo or set up your view to see people in different settings – in an auditorium, at a table, etc.
