Check In for Charity in October

We’re very excited to announce that the charity we will be donating to for the month of October in our Check-In for Charity campaign is FreeStore FoodBank! We love using social media for a good cause, and we appreciate all of the positive feedback from our campaign; it definitely encourages us to continue this campaign and make a difference in people’s lives.
For anyone who is unfamiliar with our Check-In for Charity project, every time we receive a check-in on Facebook or Foursquare we donate $0.50 to the charity or non-profit of the month (capped at $50 per month). So, by simply checking-in at Boot Camp Digital, you are supporting some really wonderful local non-profit organizations, and making a big difference! And it only takes a second.
Last month your check-ins were donated to to 3 Little Halos. This is an extremely touching cause. This Fund was created in 2009 by Jim and Susan Butler in memory of their three grandchildren. The 3 little Halos fund has been established to support organizations and programs dedicated to promote fire safety, prevention and awareness, as well as other household safety practices. This fund has been created in memory of Aubrey, Alex and Braden Butler who passed away in November of 2007 as a result of a fire in their West Chester home. The children’s legacy will continue by assisting organizations that work to ensure a safe environment for children and their families. This is a truly heartbreaking and touching story, and it was a very worthy cause. Thanks to all who checked-in to Boot Camp Digital on Facebook or Foursquare for 3 Little Halos!
This month we will be donating to FreeStore FoodBank. The FreeStore FoodBank is located just a few blocks away from our office, so we thought they would be a great cause to support! Over the last 40 years, one man’s passion for helping his neighbors has transformed into one of the region’s largest food banks. The Freestore Foodbank distributes over 12 million pounds of food annually. In 20 counties in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, we have a trusted network of over 325 local member agencies. Member agencies include soup kitchens and shelters, food pantries, churches, daycare and senior centers, and many other community and social services organizations.
