I wanted you to be the first to know (well, after my mother) that I have a contract with Wiley and am working on the book “Visual Social Marketing for Dummies”. I am really excited about the opportunity and can’t wait to see the final published book late this year/early next year.
Many of you know that I published my second book, Visual Social Media Marketing earlier this year. The book is a quick read and covers the importance of images and how to use the latest image social networks like Instagram and Pinterest. In Visual Social Marketing for Dummies I will be expanding on the concepts in my book, and we will cover in-depth not only the key image sharing sites, but also video sites like YouTube, Vine and Instagram Videos.
I’m really excited to be working with an amazing team at Wiley who has already been outstanding and easy to work with.
One of the questions I’ve already been asked is how I got this opportunity?
I recently started a new program on Personal Branding, and honestly, my personal brand was a big part of how I got this opportunity. Believe it or not, THEY APPROACHED ME to write the book, versus me chasing them down for this opportunity. An editor contacted me through our website asking if I was interested because she had seen my book and my blog posts on the subject. I was shocked and honored, and couldn’t have been more surprised.
